TELUS video on demand is a new video service offering client high quality streaming videos; popular new content on demand; and a easy redesigned, easy to browse store front. For clients with eligible PCS or smartphones the TELUS video on demand store front will replace the current video download storefront. Pay per use starts a $0.25 per video to $15 for unlimited use.

Voice and text still tops

A multicountry study from Lightspeed Research sheds light on how consumers use their mobile phones in the US, UK, France and Germany.

Users in the US and UK were most likely to say they would be lost without their mobile device, at 49% and 30%, respectively. But US and UK users were also most likely to report “never” making voice calls.

n all four countries studied, making a mobile phone call at least once a day was the norm, however. Frequency was highest in France, where 57% of users called daily. The US was close behind at 52%.

Coming in mid to the end of July will be two new handsets from HTC. The Snap and Touch Pro 2 are the newest handsets from HTC and will feature the latest in cellphone technology. HTC has been fairly secretive on information as not much is known yet other than the names, and estimated release dates. Stay tuned for more information on these two new handsets.
